Hockey Director
Sam Del Vescovo
Sam is currently the assistant hockey coach for Lake Forest College and has joined the Lakers this fall as our new Hockey Director.
He has coached at Marquette University as the head coach of the ACHA D3 team and as an assistant with the ACHA D2 program, and has been an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Power Hockey Team, running the defense and leading the staff’s recruiting and scouting efforts.
Sam attended Indiana Tech and played on their college hockey team. His youth hockey career he played for Shaw based out of Wisconsin.
Varsity Head Coach
Charlie Vander Ploeg
Charlie currently lives in Lake Villa with his wife and 5 kids. Charlie grew up in Glenview and played for the Glenview Stars. Attended and played hockey at Glenbrook South High School.
JV Head Coach
Will Dausman
Will is a graduate of Warren High School and played for Warren's high school hockey team. He attended Miami University in Oxford Ohio where he played D3 hockey. After college, Will has coached U-18 Midget hockey for the Yellowjackets Fall and Spring teams and the Yellowjackets U-14 Bantam team.
